Spark in the Park

Spark 2015 is just around the corner. This year, we will be welcoming Twenty One Pilots as the headliner for the Spark music festival. The band will be accompanied by the rapper Wale and UIC's very own TanZen, the winner of UIC Radio's 2015 Battle of the Bands.

In the past, UIC has welcomed an array of incredible headliners such as Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, and J.Cole. For Spark 2015, UIC will be switching things up by bringing in a variety of musical acts to change up the line-up.

Twenty One Pilots is a band with music that is a unique blend between hip-hop and alternative rock. They've gained the public's attention with their energetic and crowd-engaging performances. Wale is a rapper that has made his mark on music with his soulful sounds that's reminiscent of funk and disco incorporated into modern day hip-hop. These performances are something that you won't want to miss. Mark your calendars so that you can come out to Spark 2015 on Thursday, September 3rd at the UIC Pavilion. The doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. Spark is a FREE private event that is open to current UIC students, staff and faculty only. All attendees must present a valid UIC i-card prior to entering the venue. Hope to see you all there!

New changes for 2015:

* Arrive early because there are limited floor seats available

* Due to construction near Harrison Field, the event has temporarily changed locations

* Backpacks are not allowed in the UIC Pavilion.

Spark is sponsored by Campus Programs in collaboration with the UIC Pavilion, UIC Radio and UIC Student Activities Board (SAB). For a chance to win giveaways, follow Spark in the Park and Campus Programs online:
